Saoirse Saddlery was founded in 1999 by Alan Ward, who is a native of the Ballinasloe area. Having a keen interest in horses from a young age Alan did a 2 year BTEC diploma in Equine Studies in Enniskillen. He was then accepted into the Cordwainers College in London to study a 4 year coruse in saddle and bridle making aswell as a comprehensive study of lorinery – the make-up and use of bits. Today Saoirse Saddlery is the largest and most comprehensive supplier and servicer to the equine market in the West of Ireland.
